Vijay Dasami wishes to all! :
Can I achieve Victory over inconsistency?
A very happy Vijaya Dashami to all my friends. Vijaya Dasami is being celebrated today, also known as Dasera.
“Das” denotes the number 10. So, on the 10th day of the Dasera festival, we celebrate it as Vijaya Dasami. Vijaya refers to victorious.
So, I'm asking myself, is there something that I want to win over or be victorious in?
The answer that comes straight and simple :
"to win over randomness and achieve the habit of consistency!"
If I want to overcome inconsistency and win over consistency, (which I realize is something I am missing,) what do I need to do?
First, what indicates inconsistency that makes ME seek a win over consistency?
I would think of two things as very important for me in terms of consistency. a. The first one is physical fitness, which is simply an act of treating the most valuable machine that WE have been given by divinity— OUR body—in a reasonable form and shape.
Why? so that it functions well and supports you in all your emotional, intellectual, and spiritual pursuits.
Just as we ensure good service for our automobiles, air conditioners, and laptops, we must ensure very good service for our body through proper health management—a combination of the right food, sleep, hydration, and exercises.
For me, the right exercises have been very consistent; on a scale of 1 to 10, I would probably be at level 8.
What I need to be a little sharper about are my food habits and food cycle. I'm paying reasonably good attention to that but want to master it even better.
So in terms of winning over consistency in health habits, I'm reasonably happy.
- What I'm not very happy about is my consistency related to writing and sharing my notes, especially my notes on self-awareness!
Between January this year and mid-September, I was reasonably consistent and created at least 100 postings—a satisfying feat for me!
But if I take the last three to four weeks into account, this consistency has taken a beating.
If I look at the reasons, it's very obvious.
- Between January and September, my time planning had to be more aligned with one major event—the learning program on coaching and mentoring.
Since this was a weekly event spread over many months, keeping that as a center allowed me to plan my work sharply—allocating time for learning, committed clients, other interests, and writing purposes. This connection made both practices reasonably consistent.
But over the last month or so, several important things have happened. 1. with September's end came the conclusion of the online learning program; hence the weekly pressure to maintain something consistently went off.
- two major assignments I had postponed last year are now demanding attention at the design and proposal stage—taking significant time.
- The other important issue was my elder brother's health emergency—which required me to take responsibilities that took away time and focus.
- The next BIG distraction involves a significant project planning related to land and property utilization—considering farming activities on a ten plus-acre land space — requiring time - for travel, discussions, and planning.
So in the last month or so my consistency in writing has really taken a beating.
Hence today- on Vijaya Dashami day- I'm resolving to plan and execute a minimum of two postings every week and attempt three as a stretch!
My deep prayers on this auspicious Vijaya Dashami day are for determination, clarity, and the power of consistency in writing and posting - from now on.
Once again a great magic of co-incidence: My biography of an entrepreneur, that I was planning to complete in October was successfully done on the 5th of October.
I got the total consolidated 16 chapter draft, right in time yesterday, to place in my Puja, at the most auspicious time, with a temporary tittle " A journey of life!"
There are going to be two more sharings about the magic of everyday life—some very fascinating coincidences in the last 3 days that I'll talk about next.
But for today—a very happy Vijaya Dashami! I wish you conquer any area that you want to consolidate and strengthen in your life.
In Awareness & Love
