I am a connoisseur of life. I find it fascinating, absorbing and so so entertaining. Events and experiences around me seem to be part of the mysterious drama of life. There is a place for everything and a role for everyone. Naturally for me, even ordinary sights, people, events and encounters narrate a story of life. They make me reflective about the magic of life. Some of these experiences and reflections, I share them through my blogs.

Enter this world of mine, ENJOY!

In search of...love

Is there a place for me?

Is actually, the heart asking

“Is there space for me?”

We have become experts in managing places.

Companies “place” people in their slots in organizational structures.

There is campus “placement”.

“There is a time and place for everything!” ...as the saying goes.

“We wish to place this evidence/fact for your kind consideration” the lawyer appeals to the judge. The petitioner begs the government official for aid. “Highly placed sources confirm the government’s change of policy”.

Places in geography are destinations. They are pointers to arrive, to depart from.

To yet another place. To be reached or moved away from.

The "place" gives a sense of “assured address”. Location. Definiteness. It is some square kilometre, or miles, meters or inches...whatever, but certainly a LIMITED area, constrained territory.

It is always a challenge to find a place with freedom because places are by themselves limited. It is easier to find a place when you accept that your freedom has limits or accept limits to your freedom.

That is why many relationships are under strain and are challenged. The seeking of space is misunderstood as asking for a place. The need for acceptance is misunderstood as seeking “accommodation”.

It is the very bane of all conflicts in society. Race, religion, politics.

Ideologies, beliefs, and cultures -unfortunately- largely are accommodating arenas not open arms that welcome anybody... without conditions.

Conditions and even “considerations” are quid-pro-quo. Transactional.

Unconditional acceptance is space. Hence Transformational. Beyond the limits of “Forms”, Boundaries, fences...Guarded fears & fragilities.

All boundaries are “bounded”. All roles too are...

Giving space is to be “open with the arms, in kindness, in acceptance, in Love”.

Giving space is “being” ...just Being. Where there are no borders.

Then, in that boundary-fence-wall, less “openness” of acceptance, a possibility of “you” merging with “me” or the “mine” merging with “yours” is completely possible.

Then happens the discovery that “I am You”, “You are Me” and nothing needs to be done further.

In just being our “selves”, we have become much bigger, greater, and vaster than what we thought we were.

Now, we have discovered the largeness of our space.

Actually, we discover that “WE ARE SPACE” ...Ahom Brahma Asmi. “I am the very immensity of existence”.

And in you & I are merging into the same “being”, we say “Thath Thwam Asi!” ...you too are that!

Yes, giving space, being space is a symphony, a celebration of freedom. Freedom to “be”, in spite of and irrespective of becoming anything.

Being space is the experience of the rawness of love, compassion and acceptance.

Choose Space Vs. Place!
